Letting Go Of It All! Thurs. April 9, 2015

" 26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; 27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: 28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known." 
Deuteronomy 11:26-28

Life, the path that we make or even the one we allow God to make for us is a series of choices. In fact I state this as truth because the proceeding decisions we make are always determined by the one we made previously. It's the same with the consequence and reward system, we choose to do good and be obedient, we reap the reward from the "Rewarder", but if we choose to do bad things and disobey, than it only makes sense that we reap the consequences of our actions from the "Punisher!"
   In both of theses senarios  we find the "Rewarder" and the "Punisher" being portrayed by God, parents, teachers, employers and the law. Although we sometimes think that we know more than most listed we understand that in reality we don't.  God is all knowing, all present and all powergul, he knows what we do, think, feel sometimes before we even thonk n it or fo it, but yet he gives us grace and free will to choose our own path. God desires not to force us into relationship with him but he does promise this, " choose life and blessing and you and your children will be blessed."

     I know it is hard to trust that others may actually know a better way to go about things, because again, we know exactly what's best for us, if that is indeed true, than why do we always end up in a pickle?   The bible tells us that, "the ways of a man seemeth right, but the end is unto death."  Have you ever thought that maybe your parents, teachers, employers, law officials and especially God, have been around much, much longer than you? Have seen more, experienced more, maybe even tried the same thing your trying to get away with now, and possibly they learned it does not work! Think about it, "There is nothing new under the sun " so break the chains of cursing and disobedience, rebellion and pride off your life and begin to trust the leading of God's  spirit, the authority and wisdom of your parents and let God show you that you can trust others to teach you the way to better choices.

"BREAK THE CHAINS!"  LET GO OF IT ALL! The control, the fear, the rebellion against others authority and let God guide you and freedom reign in your life!
